About the Artist

Olivia Fry (they/them) received a BA in Studio Art from the University of South Florida in 2017, where they did an in-depth study of painting, drawing, and collage. They have spearheaded multiple art collectives, engaged in public performance art, and exhibited many works locally. Since then, they have shown pieces throughout the United States, Canada, and the United Kingdom. They are currently living and working in London.

Olivia Fry’s work centers on the figure as a space where presence and uncertainty meet. Bodies emerge through soft, layered surfaces, often hovering between clarity and disappearance.

Across different bodies of work, their approach shifts in scale and composition, but remains grounded in an interest in vulnerability, perception, and the tension between what is revealed and what is withheld. The paintings resist fixed meaning, instead holding a quiet, sustained sense of ambiguity.
